Our little orchard store sells pre-picked apples, honey from our own beehives, Colorado-made jams, jellies and syrups, squash, pumpkins we grow, West-Slope peaches (late August to mid-September), and, our latest addition, farm fresh eggs from our chickens.  It also contains two resident barn cats named Tigger and Tinkerbelle who sleep in the hoppers of the antiuque cider presses. The garden out front even has pick your own tomatoes until they are gone.

We have about a dozen beehives around Penrose, and we sell our honey, including comb honey if the bees cooperate.  Prices range from $4 for an 8 oz. honey bear to $12.00 for a pint mason jar of "chunk" honey with a piece of honeycomb in the jar (price may vary).
Here is Lance plowing the pumpkin patch in May.  We plant about 1600 plants in four rows between the younger apple trees.  We have quite a variety of white pumpkins, cinderella pumpkins, mini-pumpkins and jack-o-lanterns for you to pick beginning about the 18th of September.  They keep well if you put them in a cool (not freezing) place out of the sun, and don't place them directly on a cement floor (put cardboard underneath).
